i’m not a flower kind of girl
i like the look of fresh flowers but even maintaining something that’s already basically dying is too much for me. i always leave bouquets in vases for too long…to the point that the water turns murky, starts to smell, and then i want to just throw out the vase with the flowers because i’m too afraid to confront what i might have let grow in the vase. these cute lil vases though may be right up my alley. only enough room for a flower or two, not transparent so i don’t know if something’s growing or not…the lil clould and heart openings are just too cute!

wall o’fugly
first i saw this god awful jumpsuit and thought, “yup, that needs to be on the wall o’fugly.”
then i scrolled down further and found THIS monstrosity! i didn’t think you could make this jumpsuit worse, but apparently someone could and did. why?!

fits me to a t
gilt fuse has a HOT dress by young fabulous & broke, which pretty much describes me exactly. 
i wish the dress fit me that well; i think it’s a bit on the clingy side for my figure, but i can totally picture the perfect version of me in this outfit, over-the-knee boots and all. love the ruffles on the sides, the jeweled appliques, the simple front belying the plunging back…le sigh. mayhaps the line should be renamed young, skinny, and broke. oh wait, maybe that’s what they meant by “fabulous”. poop.

this one’s for the ladies
i’ve gone on a bit of a lingerie spree lately, which then led to looking back into tanks/camis with shelf bras, which then led to the realization that i am not comfortable with unlined bras and shirts with built ins. what does one do if one gets cold? is this something you’re just inherently okay with (showing off the girls’ jewels) or what? so i’ve started looking into those lil adhesive nipple covers. i never knew the nuances that one must take into consideration to find the perfect nipple cover. apparently there’s a rampant problem with wrinkles and “telltale puckering” with the regular (more papery?) kind.
i found these bristol 6 natural silicone nippies at local lingerie boutique, zovo. while they also make more decorative nippies (shapes, patterns, etc.), these medical grade silicone nippies are even flash proof, meaning they have a matte finish so that flash photography won’t reveal all. the natural silicone nippies must be for the complete opposite customer from the ones who buy the nippies that are encrusted with rhinestone; please explain to me why there is even a market for these.

i saw this faux coyote coat on hautelook the other day. it was actually sold out. i hope it was bought by faux people so i can rest knowing that this thing isn’t really walking around out there in the world.

lovely lace
this is perhaps the least lingerie-y lace piece of clothing ever, which is a good thing because it means it’s totally wearable! on the free people site, it comes in red and black as well, but i favor this demure nude color even though i’m not sure i could personally pull off (will it blend in too much with my skin tone, etc?). it’s also purposefully loose fitting to help reduce the skank factor and the large flower pattern in the lace is girly without being too cloying. i wonder if that birthday promo code free people sent me ever expires…

new costume for batgirl?
i usually am attracted to pieces by a very basic “oooh pretty” factor (case in point, ruffles), but sometimes i manage a breakthrough and can appreciate something for more than just the pretty. this dress by mcq, for example, has architectual qualities that make it hard for me to not get drawn in. love the femininity of the pleated/draped skirt. am utterly intrigued by the batwings/cape on the back; in a good way or bad, i can’t tell yet. i’m sure no one’s actually going to wear this dress to display the cape so prominently (except when doing a crazy riddler impression from the end of batman forever) but it must be handy if your arms get cold. insta-cocoon! too bad there were no pictures of the dress laying flat against the model, i bet the back is actually a lovely study in grecian draping.

cool but real (not to be confused with really cool)
vanities skull bead bracelets were the secondary feature in a recent saks email blast, so of course i had to click through to see them in more detail. i love the delicate and feminine fabrics that surround the skull bead, but check this, the bead is hand carved out of real bone! kind of creepy, right? at least that accounts for the $100+ price tag.

wall o’fugly
a lot of times when i’m browsing online at clothes i fall in love with the shoes that are styled with the outfit, but then i can’t find the shoes. this is not one of those times.
